He attended medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed a residency in neurology and then a fellowship in multiple sclerosis at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital. His special interests include multiple sclerosis and other demyelinating disorders of the central nervous system. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
