Everything was understandable and complete and while serious was not scary.

Dr. Hammond spent considerable time discussing my recovery from aortic valve replacement. He was very thorough, and very sensitive to our concerns

Dr Hammond performed heart bypass surgery two years ago this July. I was 76 st the time and all tests indicated I needed heart surgery. His office staff, PA’s, the Hartford Hospital OR staff were phenomenal. My recovery was such that I felt good after completing the HHC cardiology rehab program. I cannot thank Dr Hammond and his team enough for my care. Tim Walker - Farmington

Prior to scheduling my open heart aortic valve replacement surgery, several friends - who are also healthcare professionals at Hartford Healthcare - let me know that Dr Hammond is the “real deal”. They were so right! From the first moment I met Dr Hammond and his incredibly talented team, I felt seen, heard and cared for! He exudes confidence and knowledge and so does his team — they are collectively why I felt so comfortable and confident going into surgery. Not that I would want to do it all over again but if I had to I would call Dr Hammond in a heartbeat (pun intended). Needless to say, I highly recommend him and his team!

I was born with a bicuspid aortic valve and have been receiving regular cardiac care for the last 40 years. This year was the first time my cardiologist didn’t say see you next year. I was not surprised as I had been feeling a change in my heart over the last 6 months or more. My cardiologist recommended Dr Hammond. After my experiences I can fully recommend Dr Hammond for any cardiovascular surgery you may need. As the title of this review says, he is the real deal. I’ve heard those words from multiple colleagues. Your heart and your body will be in good hands with Dr. Hammond. He’s also surrounded by the best staff! Everyone is kind and caring and really works hard to instill self confidence every step of the way. You can’t go wrong with Dr Hammond and his team!
