Jonathan Kost, MD is the founder and medical director of the Hartford Hospital Pain Treatment Center and The Spine and Pain Institute at Midstate Medical Center. Dr. Kost has been practicing pain management for more than 30 years and is board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He has dedicated his life to helping individuals in pain and helping to restore their functional level by developing the only multidisciplinary pain treatment center in Connecticut with some of the most cutting edge technology available in medicine. He is an active advisory board member for the State of Connecticut Workers Compensation Commission and Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. He has served as chairperson for Hartford HealthCare’s (a seven hospital system in CT) Opioid Council and Pain Council and is an active board advisor for Hartford HealthCare’s Spine Council and Ayer Neuroscience Institute. He has also co-founded and served as past-president of the Connecticut Pain Society. Dr. Kost performed his anesthesiology residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York City and his interventional pain management fellowship training at Harvard University’s Brigham Woman's Hospital, Boston, MA.
