Low Back Pain: Why It Happens and How You Can Prevent It

January 23, 2023

Why does your low back hurt? This is a common question. Your spine connects to your pelvis and bears most of the weight of your upper body. This area experiences a lot of movement and stress, which can lead to wear, tear and injuries. Back pain is more likely with age, a sedentary lifestyle, poor nutrition, obesity and stress.

Gaurav Kapur, MD, a spine and pain management specialist, is offering a free, virtual webinar on understanding lower back pain. A live Q&A with the expert will follow the presentation.

The webinar, “Understanding and Managing Low Back Pain,” will be held on Feb. 15, from 5-6 p.m. Join from the comfort of your home on a laptop, tablet or phone. To register for the webinar, please call 1.855.HHC.HERE (1.855.442.4373) or visit HartfordHealthCare.org/VirtualClasses
